Waterford SHC/ Ballygunner 1-14 Lismore 2-6: Ballygunner advanced to a county final showdown with Ballyduff Upper after victory over Lismore despite Seán Daly scoring a goal for the losing side in the eighth minute to help put them four points clear, 1-1 to 0-0, at Fraher Field yesterday.
Ballygunner had levelled matters by the 19th minute and they went in at the interval leading by a single point, 0-7 to 1-3.
Stephen Power struck for a Ballygunner goal in the 32nd minute. His shot was saved but Barry Mullane followed up to get the sliotar over the line.
Then Ballygunner built up an eight-point lead by the 48th minute, 1-12 to 1-4.
Dan Shanahan struck for a Lismore goal in the 59th minute to leave just three points between the sides, 1-12 to 2-6. However, it proved to be too little too late as Shane O'Sullivan clinched victory for Ballygunner.
