Offaly made no mistake at the second attempt when they finished six-point winners against Westmeath in the replay of the Leinster Junior football championship in Tullamore.

Helped by a ninth-minute goal by outstanding corner forward Ciaran Grennan, the home side took the early initiative. Grennan netted a second time on 27 minutes to earn Offaly a 2-6 to 1-5 half-time lead.
