Kevin Prendergast's dual Irish St Leger winner, Oscar Schindler, will be one of five European runners in the Japan Cup in Tokyo on Sunday week. The quintet includes Michael Stoute's splendid servant Pilsudski, who makes his swansong after capturing big races in four different countries.
The other three European runners are Britain's Mons, Germany's Caitano and France's Astarabad.
Frankie Dettori's availability for Luca Cumani's Mons will hinge on the outcome of a Jockey Club disciplinary hearing in London tomorrow.
Caitano, a dual Group One winner this term, had Mons back in third when capturing a big Italian race in Milan last time. The three-year-old has been re-routed from the Hong Kong International Vase.
Astarabad, third to Peintre Celebre in the French Derby, won a Group Three event at Bordeaux last month.
