The Kildare rider pulled out all the stops at a five-star show in Doha where she posted a new Irish record and secured Ireland’s individual place in Rio. Reynolds and her horse, the gelding Vancouver K, which is owned by her parents Joe and Kathleen, broke records that had been in place for over 20 years on her way to a runner-up finish in the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music in Qatar. The pair previously set an Irish record of 77.425 per cent in France last October to set themselves apart as the outstanding Rio prospects. Her Doha ride came on the last weekend of qualification.
