Pat Dolan has moved again to strengthen his squad at Richmond Park, this time signing Warren Parkes from Dublin rivals Bohemians for an undisclosed fee.
Parkes, who scored seven goals in 32 appearances for Turlough O'Connor's side, expressed his delight at moving to "one of the most progressive clubs in the country" yesterday, but conceded that he would face a battle to win a place in the St Patrick's Athletic starting line-up. Manager Pat Dolan said yesterday that Parkes is "a terrific player and a great character, he has a first-class attitude and possesses the ability to become a top-class striker."
O'Connor, meanwhile, said that he had no immediate plans for spending the money he received from the deal.
