Portarlington will be the Leinster representatives in the Bulmers All-Ireland Finals in Royal Portrush after their exciting win over Beech Park in the Leinster final at Co Louth. It could not have been closer, with the deciding match between Portarlington's Colm Murphy and David Lawlor and Beech Park's Brian Fetherston and Sean Power going to the 19th. The Portarlington pair were one down playing the 18th, but a safe par at the par-five last was good enough to take the match into extra holes and they secured Portarlington's first success in the Bruen Shield with a win in par at the first extra hole.
Meanwhile, Grange will be out to defend their Bulmers Barton Shield title when they take on Mullingar at Royal Dublin on Friday. The line-up for the quarter-finals sees Sutton face Co Louth; Woodbrook take on Kilkenny and Delgany line up against Elm Park. Meanwhile, in the Best Cup quarter-finals Malahide beat Castlewarden, Luttrellstown edged out Woodbrook, Rush beat Westmanstown and Hazel Grove beat Beaverstown.
