Eamonn Darcy was able to relax and take a nap yesterday afternoon safe in the knowledge that he had again won the £50,000 Quinn Direct PGA Charity Trophy event at the Slieve Russell in Cavan. Darcy had the honours wrapped up by lunchtime when he handed in a second round 67 for a total of eight-under-par 136.

He was untouchable at that point with nearest challengers Des Smyth, Christy O'Connor junior and Philip Walton never in with a chance of catching up.
