It was 50 not out in Killarney last week as 44 handicapper Breda Duggan made a little bit of club history when she won the weekly singles competition with a record-breaking total of 50 points.
Duggan's nearest challenger was 16 year-old Joanne Cronin, playing off 16, who had a highly creditable 42 points. She is one of Killarney's brightest young prospects and recently competed on the Munster girls' team and performed very well.
Cronin showed her talent again on Sunday when she claimed the gross prize when playing off her new handicap of 15, to shoot 20 gross points, in the competition won by Deirdre Prendergast (11) with 38 points.
Duggan, who has only been playing for a couple of years but who is mustard keen, has seen her handicap fall dramatically following last week's win. She immediately lost seven shots and is now playing off 37.
