Lee Kelleher last night confirmed her reputation as one of the country's brightest swimming prospects as she set two national junior records at the Irish Open Championships at the Grove Pool in Belfast.
The City of Cork girl opened with victory in the final of the 100 metres butterfly in which she posted 1:02.78. Subsequently she won the 200 metres individual medley in 2:21.26.
There was also a notable performance from Trojan's Chantal Gibney, who was less than a second outside Michelle de Bruin's 200 metres Irish freestyle record in clocking 2:01.87.
Hugh O'Connor continued his winning ways when he increased his gold medal haul to five with victories in the 200m freestyle final and the 50m backstroke.
