Online travel agent Expedia is doing its bit to help English football fans prepare for next summer's World Cup by providing them with Japanese phonetic translations of their favourite chants and songs. "Come on referee, are you blind?" translates as "Referee, mewamieteruno?", "Off, Off, Off" is "Taij o, taij o, taij o" and "You're not singing anymore" is "Moko emodenaidar o". And, according to the Telegraph, if they want to taunt a fat opponent, instead of singing "who ate all the pies?" they can croon "Sushi o zembu kutta nowa dareda" ("who ate all the Sushi?"). Yep, can see that one catching on.
