Racing: Dermot Weld has decided to let his Beresford Stakes runner-up, Relaxed Gesture, take his chance in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile on dirt next Saturday in the US.

The Curragh trainer said yesterday it was likely that Relaxed Gesture would join Dimitrova (Fillies & Mares) and Refuse To Bend (Mile) at Santa Anita.

Pat Smullen will be riding the trio.

Weld will be an early riser this morning however as In Time's Eye is almost certain to start as a favourite for the Caulfield Cup, which is off at 6.30 a.m.

Damien Oliver will ride the Michael Smurfit-owned horse in that race.

On the home front, the main weekend action is at Naas tomorrow where Colossus tops the weights for the €70,000 Derrinstown Stud Birdcatcher Nursery.

The presence of the O'Brien colt gives a lopsided look to the handicap but it also allows Miss Serendipity an attractive looking 7.13 in the weights.

Off a Stakes fourth at the Curragh last weekend, that looks to give the Halford filly a big shout.

Livadiya goes for a second Stakes win in eight days in the Garnet Stakes but the Gowran runner-up In The Limelight could manage to switch the result this time.

Marigold will be dropping back to the mile and a half of the October Handicap after fading in the closing stages of last weekend's Cesarewitch. The move can be a favourable one for her.

At Cork today, Meath looks a bet in the mile maiden after a debut third to the smart Medicinal over seven furlongs at Gowran.

Vade Retro also appears as though it will be the one to stay on the right side of in the auction fillies race.
