Roscommon maintained their unbeaten run with a 14-point win over a disappointing Waterford side at Kiltoom. Waterford took the lead after two minutes from a Martin Power free but remained scoreless for the next 23 minutes as the home side totally outclassed them and raced into a commanding lead.
The winners led 0-4 to 0-1 when Lorcan Dowd, Alan Nolan, and Francie Grehan combined midway through the half to set Eddie Lohan up for a goal chance which he took with a magnificent shot to the roof of the Waterford net.
Roscommon began to cut through the Waterford defence with ease and might have had a second goal when Dowd found the side netting after 25 minutes.
By half-time Roscommon led 19 to 0-2 and went on to dominate a one-sided second half.
