Shane Horgan and Ollie le Roux continue their recovery from respective rib injuries but are named in the Leinster squad for Saturday's Heineken Cup clash against Leicester at Welford Road.

Horgan was selected in the panel for last weekend's home win over Toulouse but was always rated doubtful by coach Michael Cheika.

The versatile Irish back has been out of action since sustaining the injury in the devastating December defeat in Edinburgh but having sat out the weekend's action he is better positioned to play some role against the Tigers.

Prop Le Roux is also battling a rib injury and will continue to be closely monitored by Leinster's medical staff.

"Both players (Horgan and le Roux) have been included in the squad. They'll both train this afternoon and will both go through a fitness test on Thursday afternoon so that we can gauge exactly where they're at," said Cheika today.

"We're obviously very hopeful that both of them will appear in the 22 somewhere. Horgan missed the second game in a row but again, because of the nature of the injury, we've got to make sure that they're both 100 per cent fit especially in the challenge which is bigger than your average one."

Gordon D'Arcy and Malcolm O'Kelly both joined Victor Costello on 136 Leinster appearances at the weekend and now lie just three appearances behind Reggie Corrigan's Leinster record.

Leinster retain a faint chance of making the knockout stages of the European Cup - they must beat Leicester with a bonus point and hope Edinburgh win in Toulouse.

Leicester, says Cheika, will be eager to end on a high after being knocked out of the competition they have won twice before.

"They're obviously going to be stung, aren't they, considering the situation that they're in. What we've got to do is go up there and make sure we keep sowing a bit of doubt in their minds in their home base, where they don't lose very often."
