Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has named his 44-man training squad for the summer's tour to South Africa - with neither Tommy Bowe or Luke Fitzgerald making the cut.
Among those 44 players are Iain Henderson and Peter O'Mahony, both notable injury absentees for the recent Six Nations campaign - the latter included despite Munster head coach Anthony Foley having earlier in the week ruled him out until September.
Connacht's Matt Healy is rewarded for his excellent form this season, as is lock Quinn Roux, with Stuart Olding also among the list announced on Tuesday morning. There's no place though for his Ulster team mate Bowe, or Leinster back Fitzgerald.
The first of the three tests against the Springboks - who on Monday announced Allister Coetzee as their new head coach - will take place in the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town on June 11th.
The squad will assemble at Johnstown House for a 24 hour camp following the completion of this weekend’s Guinness Pro12 fixtures.
