More than 320,000 left-over tickets for February's Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, will go on sale there later this month, organisers said yesterday. They include 2,000 tickets for popular events such as the opening ceremony and 800 tickets for the men's ice hockey final. There are also 3,000 tickets available for figure skating, but only 100 for the women's final.
"It's still possible to met our budget. So far 75 per cent (of all 1.28 million tickets available) have been sold, so sales are going very well," Nishimura said.
About 90,000 tickets were returned by Olympic committees in other countries who could not sell them he added.
