Juan Antonio Samaranch today confirmed that he will seek another term as president of the International Olympic Committee.
Samaranch (76) said he had received a clean bill of health from his doctors and will stand for re-election at the IOC session in Lausanne, Switzerland, in September.
If confirmed for a fourth term as expected, Samaranch, who has been president since 1980, would head the Olympic movement until 2001.
