Mayobridge 0-10 Glenties 1-5: A Glenties goal by Leon Thompson 12 minutes from time sparked an all-action finish to this fiercely-contested Ulster quarter-final in Newry.Thompson shot to the net after goalkeeper Seán Featherstone had beaten out a shot from Anthony Thompson.
That goal pushed the visitors 1-4 to 0-5 in front. Points from Declan Rooney and Shane O'Hare quickly levelled the game, John Quinn kicked Mayobridge in front, and with five minutes remaining, Mickey Linden sent his shot narrowly over the crossbar.
Anthony Thompson knocked over a Glenties free in the 59th minute to ensure the suspense was going to be spun out, and it was not until deep in added-time that Ronan Sexton restored that two-point advantage for the Down side. Mayobridge will face St Gall's of Antrim in the semi-final on Sunday week without the services of midfielder Eoghan Woods, who was sent off in the dying seconds.
