Ardscoil Rís 2-15 Castletroy College 1-7:A POWERFUL last quarter enabled Ardscoil Rís, champions for the past two seasons, to win this all-Limerick encounter at Bruff.
Though battling Castletroy led 0-4 to 0-2 after 16 minutes, Jack Kelleher’s 22nd-minute goal helped Ardscoil lead 1-4 to 0-5 at the interval. Ed Doyle blasted a penalty goal for Castletroy, Ronan Lynch tied it at 1-5 apiece and Killian Enright edged Castletroy in front again. But James Shanahan’s five pointed freeseased Ardscoil 1-11 to 1-6 clear before Kevin O’Brien’s fine goal sealed victory.
