Leeds' forgotten man Lee Sharpe has received another blow to his Premiership comeback hopes after being told he may not return from injury this season.
The former Manchester United winger hoped to play before the end of the current campaign but club physio David Swift has suggested he may not be ready to feature in the first team squad.
Swift said: "He's going to have to wait for his comeback, he's been champing at the bit for a while now.
"Time's getting short so it's up to the boss if he gets back into the reckoning for the first team.
"It will be stretching it a bit to get him to play first team football but the targets we set earlier in the season mean we are exactly were we wanted to be."
