The former England goalkeeper, Peter Shilton, is set to make the short move across east London from West Ham to join Leyton Orient.

The 47 year old who won a record 125 England caps, will make Orient his 12th club when Les Sealey makes the opposite journey to Upton Park.

Tommy Taylor, the new Orient manager, said: "Once the Sealey move back to Upton Park is confirmed, we can then complete the signing of Shilton."

Shilton, whose last league game was for Bolton in May last year, is only four short of 1,000 league appearances in his career.
