RUGBY:JOE SIMPSON has signed a new three-year contract with Wasps that will keep him at Adams Park until 2014.
The England Saxons scrum-half made his senior debut for the club in 2008 and has clocked up 47 appearances.
A product of Wasps’ academy, the dynamic 22-year-old has seen his Test ambitions hampered by shoulder and hamstring injuries.
“Joe has grown up as a Wasp, coming through the academy system to establish himself as a regular in the senior team,” said director of Rugby Tony Hanks.
“We want to be involved in his ongoing development and success both for his club and at international level in the future.
“His performances in black and gold have put him on the radar for England and he has certainly become a crowd pleaser.
“For me it is his work ethic, his attention to detail and the basics that have impressed the most.”
