MEATH SFC:HOLDERS Seneschalstown and Skryne will contest this year's Meath SFC final following the outcome of yesterday's semi-finals at Navan's Páirc Tailteann.
Seneschalstown defeated Rathkenny 0-10 to 0-8 but required late points from Brian Sheridan (free) and James Conlon. A goal in each half by Mark Battersby helped Skryne pip Dunboyne 2-9 to 2-8. Battersby’s first-minute goal helped Skryne lead 1-4 to 0-5 at the interval. A goal from Stephen Moran after 48 minutes boosted Dunboyne but Battersby struck again before Ger Robbins’ late penalty reply.
