The new Wembley stadium should be completed in time for the FA Cup final on May 13th, builders said today.
A spokesman for building company Multiplex played down suggestions the stadium would not be ready for handover by the March 31st deadline.
In December it warned there was a 'material risk' that the stadium would not be ready, but the spokesman said the position had improved.
He added: "All parties are still working towards the March deadline."
The Australian firm revealed in December that it faces losses of up to £70 million on the project.
It issued a statement to the Sydney Stock Market admitting it was possible that work would not be completed on schedule.
The project is currently on a revised programme which would allow a progressive handover of the stadium, with the work being substantially completed by the end of March.
Some 3,500 workers are at the site of the £757 million project.
