Soccer:Republic of Ireland midfielder David Meyler will be playing alongside his international teammate Robbie Brady until the New Year after joining Hull City on a short-term loan deal. The 23-year-old Sunderland player has been re-united with former Black Cats boss Steve Bruce at the KC Stadium, where he will remain until January 1st.
Meyler, who has fought his way back from two cruciate ligament injuries, has made five senior appearances for Martin O’Neill’s side this season and was drafted into the Ireland squad for last month’s World Cup qualifiers against Germany and the Faroe Islands.
He joins Sunderland winger Ahmed Elmohamady at Hull with the Egypt international having completed a season-long loan deal in August. Manchester United agreed to let Brady rejoin Hull earlier this week, the Ireland winger having spent last season on Humberside with the club.
