Harry Redknapp has refused to rule out returning to Portsmouth as he looks to bolster the Tottenham squad. The 61-year-old took over at White Hart Lane at the weekend following the sacking of Juande Ramos on Saturday night in a move which has shocked Pompey fans.
Now Redknapp may look to Fratton Park in the January transfer window.
He told BBC Radio Five Live: "If Portsmouth want to sell some of their players, there's an open market. They've got some fantastic players there, absolutely top, top players, they really have."
The former Bournemouth boss also backed Tony Adams and Joe Jordan to succeed him at the helm on the south coast.
"Tony and Joe are both terrific football men. Whoever takes the job, they've got a good group of players there.
"It's a great job for one of the boys to take, I brought them to the club, they're great lads.
"I only wish Portsmouth every success."
