An injury-time goal by Kildare's corner forward Tony Spain gave them this narrow one-point victory over Wicklow at Arklow yesterday.

When the sides met a week ago in the Leinster championship, Wicklow leaked five goals when also being beaten by Kildare, but this time the Garden County tightened up their game and led all the way until Spain's killer blow four minutes into injury time.
