Graham Spring hopes to kick-start his professional career on this summer's Canadian Tour. He was level par for the four rounds of last week's qualifying school and comfortably earned his card in a tie for 11th place. Sean Quinlivan, another of the Irish youngsters trying to get moving in the professional ranks, failed to qualify on 14-over.
The qualifying tournament was played in dreadful conditions at the Dunes course in Kamloops, British Columbia, with play suspended three times due to ice pellets on the greens. There are 18 events on the tour, which begins later this month.
