St Gerard’s eclipsed Mount Temple by five tries to nil to qualify for a Leinster Schools’ Vinnie Murray final at Wesley College yesterday. Number eight and captain Fergal Smith, fullback Mark Prendergast and wings Adam Simmonds and Sam Kingston all touched down as St Gerard’s moved out to a 24-0 lead.
Mount Temple’s only score came from a penalty by outhalf Daragh Irwin before outside centre Con Callan rolled out the final try for St Gerard’s who have also earned the right to play Clongowes Wood in the first round of the Senior Cup.
