ALL-IRELAND SENIOR BOYS SEMI-FINAL: St Joseph's Galway 1, Loreto CS Milford 1ST JOSEPH'S COLLEGE, Galway, booked booked their place in the All-Ireland final 3-1 on penalties after a tense shoot-out at Ray MacSharry Park, Cranmore, yesterday.

Loreto had the lion’s share of the play in the opening half and Gary Merritt twice went close.

Tom Curran put St Joseph’s ahead from Barry McCabe’s free-kick on the hour mark but the impressive Eric Roberts equalised for Loreto with a blistering shot eight minutes later and the stalemate remained in extra-time.

In the shoot-out Brian Gaffney, Ross Lynskey and Ger Hanley were on target for St Joseph’s while Barry McNamee was the lone scorer for Loreto.
