Dublin IT 0-15 IT Carlow 1-10:A strong finish from DIT saw off the dogged home challenge at the IT Carlow grounds yesterday.

DIT made a strong start with four unanswered points from Jason Doherty, Oisín McGinty, Johnny McGrath and Ciarán Reddin.

Carlow IT then gained a foothold in the game following their opening score from Kildare’s Darroch Mulhall – a point from play and with Carlow player Séan Gannon also prominent on the scoresheet, the home side went on to draw level at 0-5 apiece before a point from Wicklow’s Johnny McGrath gave the visitors a 0-6 to 0-5 interval lead. Despite a goal from Carlow IT’s James Doyle, DIT finished the game much stronger as the home side tired.
