Bohemians moved off the bottom of the table with a couple of late goals merely emphasising their superiority over UCD before a small crowd at Dalymount Park yesterday.
As in last Sunday's encounter at Belfield, Bohemians ran the first-half but made it count this time with Peter Hanrahan giving them a 28th minute lead.
Donal Broughan's cross from the right forced an error from UCD goalkeeper, Barry Ryan, who let the ball fall through his hands, and Hanrahan sidefooted home the loose ball from six yards. Bohemians might have been in front four minutes earlier when a snap shot from Graham O'Hanlon - on the pitch just three minutes for the injured Robbie Brunton - came back off the foot of a post.
Ryan redeemed his mistake for the goal by keeping UCD in the match with several good saves in the second-half as Bohemians took control; the pick of them a spectacular tip over save from O'Hanlon's diving header on 69 minutes.
But Bohemians maintained their momentum and got their reward with two goals in dying minutes.
Hanrahan ran clear onto Donal Broughan's through ball to calmly shoot past Ryan on 88 minutes.
Graham Lawlor then got his reward for an excellent all-round display when heading in the third from Brian Mooney's cross in the final minute.
Manager, Roddy Collins, who has assumed overall control of team affairs, is however still looking to strengthen his side and an interested spectator at yesterday's game was his friend and former Wimbledon skipper Vinnie Jones, who may join the Dalymount outfit if contractual difficulties at QPR can be settled.

Brian Kerr has called up two players to his under-19 squad for tomorrow night's friendly with Denmark at Dalymount Park.
Waterford United's central defender, Tim McGrath, and Exeter City midfielder, Geoff Breslin, have been added to the panel to compensate for the loss of three players: Paul Donnelly (Leeds United), Jason Gavin (Middlesbrough) and Ryan Casey (Swansea City) from the original squad of 19.
