The RAC Super Prix will bring Formula One noise and spectacle to Sunday's 30th anniversary meeting at Mondello Park. The meeting also marks the opening of the new 2.25-mile International Circuit at the Co Kildare venue.
The line-up for the RAC Super Prix features Ron Cummings and Nigel Greensall who were first and second, respectively, in this race last year. Scottish driver Cummings will be at the wheel of a Formula One Footwork-Judd and lap record holder Greensall will drive a similarly powered Tyrrell. Greensall is leader of the BOSS Formula Series. Also entered are Tony Worswick in a Jordan, Rob Gray and Australian Paul Stoddart in Tyrrells, all with 3.5-litre Judd V10 engines.
The Formula Opel and Formula Ford Zetec races promise lots of entertainment with important championship points to be won - and lost. In Formula Opel, Vivion Daly on 15 points leads Ken Grandon (13). Neil Shananan and Chris Paul are joint leaders of the Ford of Ireland series with 43 points each.
Tomorrow's North-West 200 offers a feast of motorcycle road racing with seven races listed for the nine miles Portstewart-Coleraine-Portrush circuit.
