The in-form trainer Willie Mullins throws two of his star names, Hedgehunter and Rule Supreme, at today's Grade Two feature in Thurles but both veterans face a big task in trying to beat One Cool Cookie.

Charlie Swan's Powers Gold Cup winner is almost half the age of his two big-name rivals while Jessica Harrington's Knight Legend will also come into consideration for the MacLochlainn Road Markings Kinloch Brae Chase.

Ruby Walsh has elected to ride the former SunAlliance Chase and French Champion Hurdle winner Rule Supreme who hasn't seen a racecourse since May of 2005 but still holds an entry for the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March.

Paul Carberry teams up with the 2005 Grand National hero Hedgehunter who was pulled up on his return in the John Durkan last month, a race in which One Cool Cookie finished third.

Strictly on official figures, One Cool Cookie would look to have a big job against Hedgehunter but this two-and-a-half-mile trip should be ideal for Charlie Swan's runner who in David Casey's absence will be ridden by Conor O'Dwyer.

Apart from the big race, the Willie Mullins-Ruby Walsh team look set to continue their recent hot-streak and could end up notching a treble beginning with Capel Lad in the two-mile conditions hurdle.

The odds-on course winner Cooldine is hiked half a mile in distance for today's novice hurdle and should be hard to beat while the Cork winner Pomme Tiepy has a major shout in the Grade Three mares novice chase.

Paul Carberry teams up with Tony Martin in the two-mile handicap hurdle where Munnings looks the one to beat on figures.

A Curragh winner last May, Munnings started favourite for the Irish Cesarewitch in October off a figure of 86 which is only just shy of the figure he has for today's race.

An adequate round of jumping should put Munnings at the forefront and Carberry looks an ideal rider to produce that.
