The Ford of Ireland championship winner is expected to campaign a Van Diemen with works support in next year's British Formula Ford Zetec Championship. This would appear to be the only viable option for the young Dublin driver to gain experience in Britain and hopefully be recognised by a top Formula three team for 2000.

Irish road racing champion James Courtney competes in the 32nd Macau Grand Prix tomorrow, run over 15 laps of the Guia street circuit on the Portuguese island of Macau, near Hong Kong.
