Cork SF
Cork report no injury concerns arising out of Sunday's Munster final. "Micheβl O'Sullivan is suffering from slight concussion," according to selector Paddy Sheahan, "but he'll be alright." News concerning the other first-choice midfielder isn't so good. Nicholas Murphy had to cry off with a thigh muscle injury before the match and he remains doubtful for the clash with Galway.
Galway SF
Big midfielder Seβ╙ D≤mhnaill is getting married on Saturday but sources within the county expect that he'll play on Sunday at Croke Park.
Dublin SF
Corner back Martin Cahill is "quite doubtful" for the match against Sligo according to manager Tom Carr. He had to be substituted after 12 minutes of the Leinster final because a clash of heads left him concussed.
Sligo SF
Paul Taylor, who missed the win over Kildare, is unlikely to make the starting line-up on Sunday. "Paul is still not training," says manager Peter Ford, "and it's not looking great for him at this stage." Taylor is suffering from an inflammation of the pelvic area and played through the Mayo match in some pain. He's still trying hard to recover but he can only do a little bit at the moment. Niall Carew is suspended after his dismissal against Kildare. Better news for Sligo concerns left corner back Brendan Phillips who has returned from a trip overseas and played for his club Harps in a county championship game last weekend. Philip Gallagher, who was injured in the win over Kildare, is also fit again.
Westmeath SF
Captain Ger Heavin was yesterday presented with the Eircell Player of the Month award for June. Heavin is the first Westmeath player to be honoured by the scheme.
