The eagerly-awaited return of Pertemps King George VI Chase hero Teeton Mill in the £62,000 Mitsubishi Shogun Ascot Chase today is the highlight at the Berkshire track.

All eyes will be on the grey as the Venetia Williams-trained 10year-old bids to confirm his position as second favourite behind Florida Pearl in the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Teeton Mill has been the centre of much injury speculation since his win over Escartefigue at Kempton, but more of a worry could be his ability to be effective over this two miles three furlong trip after racing exclusively over further. However, he is always prominent in his races and may have enough speed to hold off his rivals.

Royal & SunAlliance Chase hopeful Lord Of The River looks the one to be on in the Gerrard Group Reynoldstown Novices' Chase. The Oliver Sherwood-trained seven-year-old was also last seen in public at Kempton's Christmas meeting when he took the Feltham Novices' Chase by a length and a quarter from Spendid.
