Welsh journalist Andy Howell had his legs cut from beneath him when he sought a quick soundbite from Cardiff team manager Robert Norster recently. The former Wales and Lions second row has returned to the club for which he played following a spell as team manager with the national side.
Norster attended a recent league match between Cardiff and Llanelli which the latter won 60-18. Although having not officially taken up his new duties, Norster was asked to comment on the game. Howell, who works for the Western Mail, ventured: "Bob, don't you think that some of your players should give their wages to charity after a performance like that?"
Norster replied: "Andy, I don't think you are in any position to comment. I've read some of your articles." Ouch! There but for . . .
