Given the existing traffic chaos and the scarcity of building land, the chances of a new golf course ever being built in the centre of Dublin must be considered negligible. No new 18 holes then but the 19th is a different matter entirely and the Hibernian Club, based at the City West course in Saggart, hopes to provide city centre facilities to its members.

The proposal is to purchase and develop premises to include bar and dining facilities, indoor practice nets, snooker room, gymnasium and limited overnight accommodation.
