PREVIEW: THE JIM BOLGER-Kevin Manning team face a momentous weekend with both New Approach and Lush Lashes in Group One action at Leopardstown but they have a chance of a double at Down Royal this evening.

The 105-rated Teacht An Earraig is a decent filly in her own right who returns to action in the Her Majesty's Plate race where she faces last year's winner Consulate.

Teacht An Earraig was well fancied to win a Group Three at Cork that eventually went to Ice Queen during the summer but disappointed. Some of her handicap form before that was very smart and she deserves another chance.

Positive Event was beaten a long way at Leopardstown but that was in a hot maiden won by the regally bred Derby hope, Sea The Stars. Today's claimer is a much easier contest.

David Wachman has his string in flying form and although Pride Celebre is no star the 60-rated filly is bred to appreciate a longer trip in the seven furlong Nursery.

Barry Geraghty's mount in the opening maiden hurdle Noble Commander should also appreciate a longer trip and should step up on his previous jumping start at Downpatrick.
