The Tipperary meeting featuring the reappearance of Istabraq, scheduled for today, has been postponed to Thursday.
Officials finally gave up on running the valuable card yesterday afternoon, ahead of a planned inspection for this morning.
"We had a heavy downpour on Thursday night and it's raining again today so, after having had the course officially inspected, we decided to postpone until Thursday. We felt it was in the best interests of everyone to decide now," the course manager David Wright said yesterday.
The meeting now reverts to the entry stage with fresh scratchings on Monday and declarations on Wednesday.
Luca Cumani was yesterday shocked by the news that he is to lose Vodafone Derby winner High-Rise. His stable star, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, has been ruled out of the Breeders' Cup Turf, for which the trainer was preparing him, and will be aimed instead at the Dubai World Cup next March. As a result, the colt is to spend the winter in Dubai and will join Godolphin.
