Most of the leading first-division sides, who were exempt from the initial stages, have avoided each other in the third round draw of the Nissan-sponsored Irish Senior Hockey Cup.
However, the Leinster league leaders Pembroke Wanderers will need total application in a testing away tie against Cookstown while Cork C of I will be respectful of Corinthians' visit to Garryduff, especially if the Dublin team's Australian contingent were to widen their attacking options. Annadale, too, will be aware of Railway Union's new capabilities.
Antrim, among the strongest second-division survivors, will be hosts to Three Rock Rovers, beaten finalists last season, while the holders Instonians will be too accomplished for Bandon. Ten of the 16 ties, scheduled for December 12th, will be staged in Ulster.
