Allen Gaels and Tourlestrane must meet again on Sunday week to decide who advances to the Connacht decider against Corofin after an unimpressive tie at Pairc Sean MacDiarmuid, Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday. In a poor game full of bad misses, petty fouling and uninspired football, the Leitrim champions suffered the dismissal of inter-county player Noel Moran seven minutes from time for a personal foul.
Allen Gaels had a dream start when Shane McGettigan scored a goal after six minutes adding to an earlier Adrian Cullen point but they failed to build on their early promise. Tourlestrane came more into the game as the half progressed with Matt Walsh scoring all their points to trail the Leitrim men 1-2 to 0-3 at the break.
Three further points from David Durkin, Matt Walsh and Shane Dunne during the third quarter gave Tourlestrane the lead for the first time but a splendid goal by man-ofthe-match Adrian Cullen in the 44th minute put the Gaels back in control. However, a late Tourlestrane rally produced a 57th minute point from John Lundy with the equalising score coming from David Durkin two minutes into injury time.
