Ireland must prepare to take on Romania without the inspiring presence of Roy Keane who was booked for dissent last evening for the second time in the qualifying series.

After the game Mick McCarthy said that medical opinion suggested that Andy Townsend will be fit to return within the next fortnight. Townsend will re-start training tomorrow after having eight stitches removed from his leg after he received a gash in last weekend's game against Iceland.
