MUNSTER HAVE announced that three more of their squad, Damien Varley, Stephen Archer and Danny Barnes, have agreed contract extensions that will keep them with the province until the end of the season 2012/2013.

The 23-year-old tighthead prop Archer and 21-year-old wing Barnes have come through the Munster Academy and Development systems, while former London Wasps hooker Varley returned to Munster at the start of last season.

“It is extremely satisfying to see players come up through the Munster system whether is it from the schools’ programme for Stephen or the youth program for Danny,” said Munster coach Tony McGahan.

“Damien’s signing of a new contract reflects his hard work and single-minded approach he has displayed since his return to Munster.
