Golfers representing Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales will be in fierce competition to become the first winners of a new team competition being launched in Tunisia this week.

The PGA of Europe is spreading its wings into Africa for the event tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. The inaugural LG Classic International is being held on the Forest Course at Hammamet.

The Ireland team of Niall Manchip, Damien McGrane and John Kelly will be led by Smurfit Irish Professional champion Manchip. They will be keen to add the £28,000 event to the PGA Team Championship Ireland scooped in Spain last December.
