ENGLISH FA CUP:MANCHESTER UNITED will face bitter rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in the third round of the FA Cup. It is the only all-Premier League tie in a draw that also sees Leeds United travel to Arsenal, holders Chelsea face Ipswich and Stevenage play Newcastle.
Sven-Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City host his former club Manchester City, while non-league duo York and Dover are away at Bolton and Huddersfield respectively.
The stand-out tie at Old Trafford will be the ninth post-war meeting between Manchester United and Liverpool in the competition, with United victorious in seven of the previous eight.
However, the last time they met, in a fifth-round tie in 2006, seven-time Cup winners Liverpool recorded their first FA Cup win over United in 85 years.
