Australian striker Marko Viduka will meet his advisers later this week in Melbourne to decide on a date when he will return to his new Scottish club, Celtic.
The striker's agents, IMG, insisted yesterday that we would fly to Glasgow "shortly" and re-start his career. They say he is making good progress after receiving counselling from a psychologist.
Viduka sensationally walked out on Celtic last month without playing a game just days after sealing a £3 million move from Croatia Zagreb and being granted a work permit. He claimed he was suffering from emotional stress and that he needed to get home to Asustralia to recover.
Former Sweden international Tomas Brolin escaped unhurt after his car was in collision with an elk on a road in the central Sweden police said yesterday.
Brolin retired from soccer last August. His clubs included Parma, Leeds United and Crystal Palace. "My guardian angels helped me," he said.
Meanwhile, Cameroon's football federation has been suspended indefinitely by FIFA, excluding the national team and clubs from international competitions and friendlies.
FIFA dissolved Cameroon's federation in November because of a series of financial problems, and appointed an interim executive to run the organisation for nine months.
