Irish international soccer player Claire Scanlan has been named the NCA National Division Two Player Of The Year in the United States where she has been studying on a sports scholarship for the past four years.
The 24 year-old Dubliner, who left her native Rush to study Business at Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania, has played at senior level five times for Ireland while she has also played representative cricket and camogie.
The award is the latest and most prestigious in a long line that the Irishwoman has received during her career in American college's soccer.
