Limerick FC and Galway United did their promotion ambitions no harm as they fought out a 1-1 draw at Hogan Park, Rathbane yesterday. Both goals came inside the opening 11 minutes, Galway's Aubrey Dolan scoring with a 25-yard volley after seven minutes, and David Considine sweeping in a rebound from Galway goalkeeper Mark Cobey four minutes later.
Galway's Luther Watson was sent off for a bad first-half challenge on Declan Casey.
An own goal from Eddie Walsh after 27 minutes and a second from Sean Francis three minutes later appeared to leave Cobh well in command at half-time at St Colman's Park on Saturday night. But goals from Home Farm's Robbie Farrell and Padraig Drew tied the game.
Brendan Rea scored the only goal as Kilkenny City beat St Francis.
