With 15 days to Cheltenham, the powerful yards of Willie Mullins and Noel Meade emphasised their current good form at Naas on Saturday, but the top winning performances of the day came from two Ted Walsh-trained horses who are unlikely to visit the festival.

Rince Ri, who made it three wins from three starts over fences in the Nas Na Riogh Chase, will definitely not travel, being kept instead for Punchestown, and Papillon remains on track for the Irish Grand National after landing a thrilling Queally Newlands Chase.

"He's in the Queen Mother Champion Chase and the William Hill Handicap Chase and if the owner wants to go we'll consider them, but the Irish National is the main aim," said Walsh after Papillon had beaten Opera Hat by a length, with Hill Society just a head back in third.

Papillon completed a treble for Ruby Walsh, bringing his seasonal total to 73.

Along with Jason Titley on Hill Society, Walsh was determined to keep to the wide outside in search of the better ground. Hill Society took over the lead at the second last, but with Opera Hat also running a blinder on the inner, Walsh galvanised Papillon to regain the lead at the last and then hold on.

The David Austin Memorial Chase at Punchestown is the target for Rince Ri, who shrugged off Manus The Man from the last; and Ruby Walsh's first success was on Its Time For A Win, who may now go for the County Hurdle or the Coral Cup at Cheltenham.

Sallie's Girl got a quote of 20 to 1 from Sean Graham for the Stayers' Hurdle after beating Slaney Native by half a length in the Johnstown Novice Hurdle.
